TAKAFUMI HORI
Ballet Dancer, Photographer, Filmmaker
Born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 2005.
In 2021, entered the Department of Performing Arts and Film at the Dance Academy Zurich, part of the Zurich University of the Arts.
In 2023, participated in the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ Overseas Study Program for Emerging Artists as a trainee.
In 2024, was selected as a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne and graduated from the academy.
Following graduation, joined K-BALLET TOKYO as a professional dancer, while also pursuing work as a photographer and filmmaker.
Having grown up around his father’s camera, he developed an early fascination with capturing everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Through his career in ballet, he discovered the beauty of movement and the world of the performing arts, which inspired a strong interest in expressing these experiences through photography and film.
During his studies, he photographed auditions, documented rehearsals and performances, and produced documentary films, developing his photographic practice through self-directed learning. His current work explores the beauty of movement and the unique moments that emerge between the stage and its audience.

2005年 神奈川県生まれ。
2021年 チューリッヒ芸術大学・舞台芸術映画学部ダンスアカデミーに入学
2023年 令和5年度文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度研修員として留学
2024年 ローザンヌ国際バレエコンクールでファイナリストに選出される。
2024年 同校卒業
卒業後、K BALLET TOKYO に就職。その後、本格的に写真家、映像作家として活動を開始。
幼少期より父のカメラに親しみ、日常の何気ない瞬間を記録することに魅力を感じてきた。バレエダンサーとしての活動を通じて、舞踊の動きの美しさや舞台芸術の世界に触れ、その体験を写真や映像で表現することに強い関心を抱く。
在学中にはオーディション写真、リハーサルや舞台の記録、ドキュメンタリー映像制作なども手掛け、独学で技術を習得。「動体の美」「舞台と観客の間に生まれる瞬間」をテーマに活動している。現在、K-BALLET TOKYO のフォトグラファー / ビデオグラファーとしてカンパニーの撮影を担っている。
